Rockaway Beach
The project was to design a CD, CD cover, and a series of merchandise for the song Rockaway Beach by The Ramones. The rhythmic beat and uplifting lyric portrays a summer day, hitchhiking to the Rockaway Beach in Queens.
Bringing in the punk characteristic of the band, I chose to use a rough hand-drawn style for the song title and a vintage car as the main visual identity.
“Chewin' out a rhythm on my bubble gum
The sun is out and I want some
It's not hard, not far to reach
We can hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach”
